Self-improvement. Working on improving yourself should be an easy goal because you get all the benefits.
It should be right? So why is it so difficult to do? Why is self-improvement so challenging? It is difficult because we don’t want to accept that we really need to improve. We want to think that we just need a little tweek. Maybe we just need to correct a few small things and we’re good.
But self-improvement takes a lot of openness and honesty. It requires us to look at the parts of our inner self that we are not proud of or don’t want to face. This is the challenge of self-improvement. It is the hurdle that we have to learn to remove. Until we really face these parts we can not fully benefit from any tools and techniques that we learn.
To improve yourself means to get to know why you think the way you do and how to create new ways of thinking. It is to take responsibility for who you are and where you are and take steps to bring yourself to the place where you want to be.
