Chasing the Goal. The fight of the century was all about chasing the goal. It was the impossible becoming possible.
The idea looked realistic 5 years ago. 5 years ago each fighter was considered to be at the top of their game. But with time comes age and boxing is a young man’s sport. So what once looked very likely soon began to look impossible. But as we teach, what you focus on becomes your reality.
Mayweather never lost focus on his goal. He kept focus on making this fight happen even when other people thought it was a dream. This is what we write about in our book, How to Tame Your Ego and Fuel Your Ambition. We talk about how to quiet your ego so you can focus on the result you desire. We talk about the factors that play into our decision making and how ego plays a big part in those decisions.
When Mayweather was chasing the goal he had to remove ego from the process in order to reach the result that he wanted.
His goal was his super bowl. That super bowl was to become the highest paid fighter for a single fight. He knew the only way to reach this was to get Pacquiao to agree to a fight. He also wanted the fight on his terms and he wanted 60% of the purse. He was chasing the goal that looked to be an impossible goal.
In our book, How to Tame Your Ego and Fuel Your Ambition we give you the tools and techniques to help you stay focused on the really big goals. It is this type of vision and dedication you need to be able to accomplish the things that Mayweather did. Many
people have big dreams but they don’t know how to really fuel their ambition. It is a skill that you can develop. It is a way of seeing and doing things that can bring you to the life you desire.
