How to Control thoughts that don’t serve us

The major difficulty we have with taking control of our lives is trying to focus constantly on a desire that we want to bring forth. To take control is to reduce the thoughts about what has been and to focus on the moment we are in. To put it differently, the wondering mind is sometimes difficult to stabilize. To keep it from fluctuating from one subject to another sometimes seems impossible. However, there is a solution to this. girl-2157459_1920 "Taking Control of the Wondering Mind"

But, Why is this Important?

When you take control of the wondering mind you connect with your own power. You begin to steer your life in the direction of where you want it to go. This is the way you gain self control in all aspects of your life experiences.

 The Question then is How Do We Do This Successfully?

Everything that you think is an invitation to bring those thoughts into reality. The drawback to this is most of us use our wondering mind to perform an intellectual analysis of everything we do and everything that we know other people do. To put it another way, we spend far too much time pondering over why this and that happened and what we could have done to change it, or we may focus on what ‘we think’ others could have done differently. Simply put, we spend way too much time on trivial thoughts that are of no value to us.

What we should be doing is taking control over our wondering mind and thinking extensively on the direction of what we would desire our lives to be.

The dilemma when we allow the wondering mind to dominate our thoughts, is in essence, that we allow it to take us on a journey that isn’t always where we want to be. When we begin to watch where our wondering mind is taking us, and we see it inconsistently jumping all over the place, it isn’t any wonder that our lives don’t always go to desirable places.

At first it seems impossible to gain control over our wondering minds, but once we become aware of our thoughts it is possible that we can change directions of where we want them to be. An easy way to do this is by feeling our way to good thoughts



Understanding our Feelings

 Usually when our thoughts are going down the negative path we can feel it. We don’t feel happy, we feel uncomfortable and there is no delight or pleasure attached to the thought. When our thoughts are going down a positive path we feel enjoyment, gratification and mindmap-2123973_1920 "Taking Control of the Wondering Mind"excitement. Feelings are our powerful indications of where we are. We have far too many thoughts spinning through our wondering mind to grasp and control each of them. This would be far to exasperating to do. However, if we feel discomfort with what we are mulling over in our thoughts this is our intuition telling us that we are definitely going down the wrong path. This is why it is so important to find thoughts that are positive. When you move from negative thoughts to positive thinking your life will change directions and positive things, situations and people begin to show up for you. This is the way the Law of Attraction works.

Thinking is such a powerful process that most of us take for granted. Regardless, if you want to change directions in your life and bring wonderful, fun situations and people to it stop the wondering mind by feeling your way to positive thoughts. It works every time. It is Law!

Water! A Child’s Perspective




Water! My granddaughter had come to visit and was playing in the garden, therefore like most young children had got grass stains on the seat of her white shorts.

She was a little worried about what mom would say seeing all those grass stains on her shorts so me being grandma said, “Go in and change and I will soak them and get out the stains before mom 103 "Water"see’s them.” She followed my instructions and went down to where my grandchildren’s bedroom is when they stay overnight. When she returned she said, “I left them on the chair because I couldn’t get to the laundry room.” I asked why she couldn’t take them to the laundry room and her casual reply was, “Because of the water, my feet would have been wet.”

I went down to the laundry room and much to my astonishment she was right the water flooded the floor.

Right then and there all systems went into full mode between me, my son and my husband. Wet vac, mop towels and so on all went into use which didn’t help!

By the end of the day, Saturday, my son and husband went and bought a portable sunk-pump, which worked for the time being until we could get a plumber.

It went through my head as I heard my husbands complaints as he and my son tried to find solutions to why we had water flooding our basement. Why this had happened? Even so I had to come to the conclusion of how grateful I am for water. I always give gratitude and appreciation for my drinking water each morning as I bless my meal.

However, we all know how damaging water can be.

Regardless, this time I could sit back without panic, and believe me if you knew me well it was always in my disposition to panic and stress when these things happened in the past, this time I was able to pacify my husband through his stress.

What I am more capable of doing now is to think of all the unique ways that we use water:




There are so many countries that dont have running water. Water is essential to our living besides our personal hygiene and sanitation it is a vital commodity for our survival. So we have to thank our city council and government for our water.” From our book Your Invincible Power.

There are countless ways we use water and are blessed to have this indispensable energy in our lives. Why would I now be upset with my water? Why would I curse it? I have to understand that we all have some life problems that may be quite inconvenient at the time it happens. These are life lessons. There is always something to take from them.

I decided that I have to be grateful always for my water not just when it is flowing the way I want it to. After all at the end of the day I am still quite fine in my now. The drain is being fixed at this moment. My husband is less stressed which is always a bonus! And I have learned to take a lesson from my grandchild who casually said, “My feet would have been wet!”

Being a child she didn’t first sWater Your Invincible Power adjustedee the damage it could possibly do, she didn’t find herself in a panic, she just saw that at that moment it was a slight inconvenience. Children are so awesome to watch and sometimes take life lessons from because they mostly do not see the stresses of life the way we do. They haven’t gotten to that point of endlessly allowing negative situations to dominate their lives. They don’t think about the disadvantage of a situation or look at the possibility of trouble as we do. They just take life casually.

When we as adults can get ourselves in the moment as children do we can move away from the stresses of life and believe me when you can do this life changes for you. All of those terrible ideas you may have focused on and contemplated in your panic do not come into effect when you learn to take your focus in a positive direction. This happens because you haven’t looked for the worse case scenario.

I am going to follow in the footsteps of my granddaughter and just say, “I’m not going to let my feet get wet.” I am going through life with dry feet and take all that comes as much as possible in my stride!

Christmas and Stress!!

When we place these two strong words together we feel the pressure of what is involved to make a perfect Christmas. We may feel an intense awareness around the subject of Christmas, and although we want to give we do not want the days leading up to it full of strained effort.

Christmas to me use to be very stressful due to the money I would have to spend combined with the crowded shops. I always finished up totally exhausted by the time Christmas day "Christmas and Stress!!"arrived. And then I learned how to get around all of this without any tension in the mix.

So, how do I avoid becoming stressed through this festive season?

Before we go out to do our Christmas shopping it is to our benefit to place some focused energy into each shopping trip.

  • We start by utilizing the energy that surrounds our thoughts around giving.
  • When I went out this year to begin my shopping I focused on the shopping trip being really smooth before I left the house. I placed thoughts of easy shopping without tension.
  • I put energy into finding gifts that are wanted by whoever I was buying for.
  • I placed energy vibration around how I wanted the day to go, and what I wanted to experience.
  • I visualized each shopping trip the same way, being full of wonderful experiences.
  • I visualized the shops I visited not unreasonably crowded.
  • I focused on finding bargains that pleased me.




Money can be an extreme worry over Christmas and really adds to stress.

Security vs. Fear What makes us Fear?




To maintain security in a fearful world. 

I woke up to a loud sound! My husband also woke, “What was that?” I spurted out quite startled.

“I don’t know, but it sounded close by.” He got out of bed and went looking into the other rooms, one by one he looked for some evidence to explain what that noise was.  img080 "Security vs. Fear"

I got up shortly after him and went down the stairs asking, “What caused it? Do you know?”

He replied, “No. Their isn’t anyone else in the house but us. And nothing has fallen or broken.”

“Then we should go back to bed,” was my casual reply.

We both went back to our room and climbed into our bed. Before I drifted off to sleep I listened to the howling of the wind outside of my window, and on doing so it occurred to me how safe I felt. There wasn’t those old feelings of fear that would have been within me had I not known of the powerful universal laws. At that moment I not only had feelings of security but I was proud of myself and how far I had come just by understanding the power of the Law of Attraction.
