Mission Impossible: The goal – to create 10 videos by the end of February for YouTube campaign. This was my mission should I choose to accept it.
This Mission Impossible started with an idea. Since writing the book with Pamela we have been transitioning from writing to promoting. It is not an easy transition for writers to stop writing and start promoting. It feels a lot like selling, but guess what? It is.
So as the days grew to weeks we began to look for and create ways to connect with our audience. One of the ways was to make some of our blogs visual and promote them on YouTube. It was a great idea except for one little problem. We really had no idea how to do it. Making a video looks easy because it isn’t. There’s a lot to it. Do you try to have fun every day? Do you look for ways to have fun? Do you know how to cheer yourself up?
It’s so important to have fun every day. It is something they should teach at school. I know some people do not know how to have fun. They go through life with a miserable look on their face, day in and day out.
I know you can’t have fun every second of every day. Some things need your serious attention. Maybe the job you have is highly stressful, there is nothing fun about that, but you need to find some fun in the day. Some way to break up the tension.
Sometimes it is as simple as watching a quick and funny video on the computer. Sometimes it is doing something different at work. Sometimes it is picking up the phone and calling someone you haven’t talked to in a while. The best thing to do is something you can repeat often.
Keep it simple
Keeping it simple will help you make it part of your life. The less effort the more fun it will be… or is it the more effort the more fun it will be? I don’t know try it both ways. What I do know is that simple is simply fun.
I have my whole day scheduled so I can get the most out of my waking hours. I have a lot on my plate and I am under quite a bit of pressure to get the results I expect. I have many people counting on me to succeed. If I don’t make the conscious effort to have fun at least a couple of times a day I would have to stop all the things I am doing because it would seem too much like work…YUCK.
I have to find ways to make my work fun so that it doesn’t feel like work. Ever since I discovered this trick I have been able to take on bigger challenges.
Put fun into your recipe for success. Make it a must in your life. Learn how to make your everyday routine fun. Do this and see how your life will change. There is a reason that your kids play so much. There’s a reason why adults can’t wait for the week end.
It’s because it’s fun!
My mission for you is to bring some of that week end fun into your life everyday.
