Security vs. Fear What makes us Fear?

To maintain security in a fearful world.

I woke up to a loud sound! My husband also woke, “What was that?” I spurted out quite startled.

“I don’t know, but it sounded close by.” He got out of bed and went looking into the other rooms, one by one he looked for some evidence to explain what that noise was.  img080 "Security vs. Fear"

I got up shortly after him and went down the stairs asking, “What caused it? Do you know?”

He replied, “No. Their isn’t anyone else in the house but us. And nothing has fallen or broken.”

“Then we should go back to bed,” was my casual reply.

We both went back to our room and climbed into our bed. Before I drifted off to sleep I listened to the howling of the wind outside of my window, and on doing so it occurred to me how safe I felt. There wasn’t those old feelings of fear that would have been within me had I not known of the powerful universal laws. At that moment I not only had feelings of security but I was proud of myself and how far I had come just by understanding the power of the Law of Attraction.

When this incident happened, the other evening, I had checked in with my feelings first and foremost, and they were telling me very clearly that I was safe and that there was nothing to worry about.

Before I became conscious of the guidance and protection that I now believe is within me, I would have felt an immediate panic which would have directly followed the loud bang that woke me. I would have gave fear permission to take over at that time. I would have possibly grabbed my husband’s arm and pulled him back to suggest that he take something with him in case their was an intruder in our house. I would have checked the front and back  door to see if it was open. I would not have been able to sleep without knowing why the sound had happened. I would have possibly laid awake worrying and listening for the intruder to come out of his hiding place, and would have stayed awake-just in case. Security would not have been my first instinct.

In the second chapter of “Your Invincible Power” I write about fear. This is a powerful entity that we allow into our lives. Fear takes major control of us if we let it. Fear is able to distort our thoughts easily. What I now know is that we do-for a fact-invite fear into our lives. We live constantly with messages that tell us that we should be on guard for predators that will infringe upon us at any given time.

Universal laws tell us that we first have to invite fear into our lives before it can enter. So the more we think about fearful events the more that we bring these events to us. When we give trust and gratitude for what we have, we invite security to us. This is what returns to us, without fail. All thoughts given out are what must return to us in circumstances and situations. When we activate security into our thoughts this brings assurance and activates protection. This is what we are inviting in. This is how it works.

“It’s as though, within these negative influences, there’s a hidden virus whose invasion of our psyche goes unnoticed.” David R. Hawkins M.D., Ph.D.

We have a built in perception, this you know as your intuition. Our intuition is our feelings and will let us know if we are secure or not. We have to always listen and feel what our emotions tell us. When we live with insecurity we set in motion the low energy levels that surround us, and the more we think of the fear, we believe is there, the more frightened we become, and the more stress is heaped upon us. Eventually with enough thought it will appear in some form in our lives. The best way to leave fear behind is to stomp out those fearful thoughts when they enter. In other words, learn to talk yourself out of fear, understand that fear only exists if we invite it in. Your life will change and you will regain that freedom you were born with.

“You receive from the world what you give to the world.” Oprah Winfrey.

The conclusion to my story is: the next day we realized the snow shovel that was leaning against the wall, below our window, had been blown in the heavy wind and hit another object. That was all!!
