Mindset. What is it really and how do you reset it? I hear so many people talk about having the right mindset
People talk about thinking positive, focusing on success, and having confidence. I talk about this all the time in our books and training. But there is a catch! There is something that you need to know and do to make this all work.
When I first started learning about the mindset, and how it worked, I loved the fact that it was so simple in concept. You just have to focus on the things you want or the experience you want and POOF! it will appear.
Everyone can do that right? But how do you really do it? How can this really work and become something tangible?
This was the question I asked myself, and it led me to the answer that I’m going to share with you now.
The problem that I run into the most when I am mentoring someone is; they know what they are supposed to do but they don’t know how to actually do it. They know they are supposed to think positive and focus on the things they want but they can’t consistently stay focused on it. The self doubt starts to creep back in. The longer they struggle with reaching their goal the more the self doubt plays on their mind convincing them to quit, stop trying, and then they listen and do as they are told.
The reason for this is; they haven’t reset their mindset yet.
Their mind has been preset from early childhood to automatically accept certain conditions as true. These are the mental blocks that we talk about removing in our book. One of the first things I do as a mentor and coach is to work through these mental blocks to help the client change their truths.
This was the first step I had to take.
It was a very hard step and I had to lean on my coach to help me through the process. This is the step that most people try to do on their own and that is why they seldom succeed. If you don’t have a mentor or coach, and you are not ready for one for whatever reason you may have, find someone that you can talk to that will be supportive.
Try to find someone that has done what you are trying to do and succeeded at it. Don’t panic, there are many people close to you that have done it. They’re not as hard to find as you may think.
The second problem I find with people is that they don’t want to invest money into their self development.
This will make it very hard for you to achieve your goals. Without the proper training and coaching you will definitely struggle to reset your mindset. The reason people hire mentors and coaches is because they realize that they need a push to stay on track. A good mentor will make an easy to follow step by step plan for you. It should be designed to fit the needs you have and is all about your success.
One of the key factors is learning how to reset your mindset. This should be a part of the plan. If you are working with a mentor or coach and they haven’t addressed this in a clear way yet, you need to asked them too immediately.

Changing your mindset is a process that will take some time to work on. Each step along the way will bring you closer to your goal. Each time you make progress, new opportunities will appear. It is almost like magic how things start to unfold and become clear once you make this mental shift, and it really starts to become the way you think.
Knowing what you should do is only a part of it. Knowing how to actually do it is the key to opening the door to unlimited Wealth, Health and Joy.
