What are you focused on?
One of the challenges in learning to use focused thought is to stay focused on a goal until it is fully achieved. It is so easy to change your focus to something related to your first goal and feel that it is time to move on to that when you haven’t yet finished your first goal. What often happens is that you move too fast and then the second part of the goal fails.
Once that happens it is hard to go back to the first unfinished goal. Focused thought is something that you have to allow to develop. Sometimes it takes more time to achieve certain goals. A great technique to use to help you stay on track is to have mini goals inside your goal that you can draw to you. This will help to fuel your ambition and belief while you draw the bigger goal to you.
Another problem people often run into is that they set their goals too small.
This is something that you have to practice. Focus your thoughts on mini goals that step up to the bigger goal will really help. If a goal is too small you will be frustrated by the results as they will also be small. Your goals should be big and scary. If you tell someone your goal they should think it is crazy or unrealistic. Focus on the unrealistic goal and draw it to you.
When we decided to write the book – Your Invincible Power – we had a vision of sharing it with many people and teaching people how to use this gift. Our goals are very big and from where we started it seemed like a fantasy. But we set mini goals to fuel our ambition. We practice focused thought and we are continually working toward reaching that big goal.
Everything moves at the speed you are ready for.
The trick is to prepare to move faster than you are going now. Make sure you are focused on achieving the goal you set out to achieve. You can prepare for the next goal on the list but not at the expense of the first one.
Each week you should be moving closer to reaching what you set out to accomplish. This is what you need to focus on. This is what you need to hold in your mind’s eye. There will be hurdles. They are challenges to strengthen your belief and commitment. Welcome them and learn from them.
